Values based system change
We respond to the increased complexity of underlying causes of poverty and inequality by adopting new roles and focussing on sector-level interventions. Our goal with systemic change is to address the root causes of poverty and socio-economic inequality. To achieve this, our programmes now operate on multiple levels within the areas we serve: influencing national government policies, enhancing sector-level services, shifting community attitudes, and fostering personal skills, knowledge and new mindsets. We are committed to long-term partnerships, working with a broad range of stakeholders. Through these partnerships we seek to provide or influence strategic leadership within the sectors involved, bringing innovative capabilities to the forefront.
Our lobbying efforts in Brussels and The Hague are increasingly focused on collaborating with our Southern partners to support systemic change, especially in relation to our policy themes. It is important for us to engage in or negotiate collaborations that reflect our ethical values. To realise this, we pro-actively engage in value-based dialogues. To better understand stakeholders and policy dynamics, we will apply a variety of tools for system mapping and monitoring. Within our partnerships, we aim to contribute to informed decision-making based on reliable data and analysis, with a strong emphasis on inclusion. This approach allows us to continuously adapt strategies in response to emerging trends and opportunities.
