In addition to our policy themes, Woord en Daad plays a crucial role in establishing Shared Service Centers in the South as part of our commitment to strengthening local capacities. These centers serve as multi-functional hubs that provide a range of services, including financial management, capacity building, PMEL (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning), business development, and facilitating advocacy and lobby efforts. By setting up these structures through local leadership models, we ensure transparency, efficiency, and local ownership of processes.

The vision behind our Shared Service Centers is to contribute to the development of strong civil societies and locally embedded civic structures that deliver high-quality services. These centers enable southern partners to take greater control and responsibility for their own development, fostering accountability and long-term sustainability. Through this approach, we aim to empower communities with the tools and support they need to thrive independently, creating systems that are resilient, inclusive, and locally driven.
