2,381 digital lesson plans

The implementation of these two components aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom and to ensure effective pedagogical support by pedagogical supervisors for high-quality in-service teacher training.

In all, 2,381 lesson plans for the first 4 years of primary school have been digitised in all subjects; 350 plans are already available and can be accessed via https://fasoeducation.bf/fiches-aide-preparation.html. These plans reach a potential of 83,736 teachers in the private sector and rural areas and, through them, 2,835,544 young people. This will improve the Primary Completion Rate (PCR), which in 2022/2023 was still very low (54.6%, including 59.8% for girls).

Teaching support via digital technology

Discussions
More than 200 participants were involved in a discussion about the high cost of implementing distance teaching support via digital technology. The MEBAPLN was in the process of finalising its thinking on distance education training and supervision. The pilot project was therefore coordinated with these discussions in order to optimise practices.

E-educational supervision
As a result of the discussions, the participants were able to propose an “e-educational supervision” system that could also be used for distance learning. Based on this system, adjustments have been made to the initial PISGI distance Learning supervision system. Operational costs have therefore been drastically reduced. The report is on file with the General Secretariat of the MEAPLN for further action.
