Impact
Between late 2023 and 2024, 1,170 teachers from 62 schools in 16 cities have participated in the program. This includes weekly sessions in which teachers share experiences and challenges from their own classroom practices, guided by the Teacher Growth Manual. The program, called Cre-Siendo Juntos in Colombia (translated as Growing from Being Together), has offered Colombian educational institutions an opportunity to enhance teachers’ sense of vocation, identity, and commitment to their role.
It also aims to develop key competencies that directly impact educational quality, such as fostering a positive school environment and promoting inclusion.
Expanding plans
Efforts are underway to gradually expand Cre-Siendo Juntos into a national strategy, reinforcing teaching quality initiatives through the Education Secretariats in cities across Colombia.
