INCE Guatemala: Reaching greatness in education

The Guatemalan school year runs from January to October. The past weeks have been filled with end-of-year assessments, closing a school year while preparing for the next. The teachers participating in our program have not stopped training despite the busy school season.
Our annual survey has been launched and the data is coming in. We continue to receive positive feedback on the personal and professional impact of the program. Of the data gathered so far, 94% of the teachers work in the preschool and elementary levels.
Santa Ana Peten is a small town, a one-hour drive from Tikal, the largest archaeological site and urban center of the Maya civilization. The teachers in Santa Ana have embraced the Teacher Growth Program and are thriving to reach the same greatness as their ancestors, not with buildings or advanced Astronomy, but through raising the quality of education they provide to each little one that comes to their classroom.
