Facebook group

The Facebook group with over 6,000 teachers has been awakened by teacher networking. Some of the topics that teachers discuss:

“Do you have a link to the 6th grade curriculum?”
“It’s my first-year teaching 1st grade. Do you have supporting material I could use?”
“Do you have a lesson plan for the beginning of the year warm-up activities for Reading?”
“What can I do to help my students who struggle with writing?”

Strengthened values

During our end of the year survey in 2024 we asked teachers what values have been strengthened as a result of their participation in the Program. The responses were: respect, responsibility, and honesty. These values have led the teachers to work stronger as a team, embracing their role towards others and acknowledging the valuable input of others.

New phase

Arine and Irma from Woord en Daad visited Guatemala in March. During their stay, they visited schools and centers alongside AMG and held a very good in-person consortium meeting with Guatemala Prospera, AMG, Mariano Gálvez, and Lisa. As the program enters a new phase, marked by the graduation of its first cohort of teachers, it’s crucial to keep the teachers engaged and inspired beyond their training, ensuring that systemic change continues.
