Engaging teachers

Currently over 6,000 teachers have become members of the private Facebook group and photos and videos are shared of their activities regularly, demonstrating their collaboration together as teachers and their creative activities with children and parents. But also showing their passion for improvement and growth as educators!

Recently a teacher shared in a post: “We get excited when it is time to work on the manual, it is a space where we share experiences and seek to strengthen our weaknesses.” It was accompanied by a video of teachers enjoying a moment of fun together. For us it is wonderful see teachers enjoying their profession because we know that will translate into positive engagement with the children they teach!

Looking ahead

The consortium has furthermore been working on developing ways in which we can capture and measure the impact the program is having on the children, as we want to ensure that our efforts don’t only provide an enjoyable experience for teachers, but that data can show us that the quality of education in the country is substantially improving. Our university partner will play a key role in this as well to help us gather and analyze data.

Additionally, we are looking ahead at 2025 planning to see how we can continue to engage teachers who will be completing the program this year. By having moments of interaction throughout the year we hope to keep seeing dignified teachers with a vision for learning!
